The AI and AI-based-geospatial information management paradigm is changing rapidly due to technological advancements in data acquisition, processing and sharing. The state-of-the-art techniques need to be investigated to cope with the increasing demand for highly accurate, reliable information acquisition from multi-sensors such as satellite imageries, unmanned vehicles, cameras and IoT sensors, which can be applied to counter various challenges such as global warming, climate change, environmental monitoring, biodiversity, smart cities, urbanization, effective use of natural resources. Furthermore, information representing the built and human environment greatly benefits from new technologies and innovative approaches. Therefore, ISAG2026 aims to provide good opportunities for innovative knowledge exchange among researchers worldwide to share knowledge and their expertise to discuss the latest developments, opportunities and challenges that can help them solve many real-world challenges.
The aim of the 5th ISAG2026 is to bring together scientists, engineers and industrial researchers to share their experiences and research results, and to discuss the practical challenges and solutions adopted in Geoinformatics. The topics covered in this symposium include artificial intelligence, satellite imagery, advanced remote sensing, photogrammetry, image processing, global navigation satellite systems, elevation systems, terrestrial laser scanning, GIS/smart cities and recent developments in land management. The symposium is organized to promote developments in the field of Geoinformatics, to explore the latest scientific and technological developments and opportunities to help the Geoinformatics community solve many real-world/real-life challenges of today.
