From Participants to Principal Investigators: Empowering DHH Youth in Cognitive Science
From Participants to Principal Investigators” is a five-phase initiative that empowers deaf and hard-of-hearing (DHH) students in Rize, Türkiye, to move from being research subjects to active researchers by engaging them in hands-on cognitive science workshops, mentored student-designed experiments at the V-Able Cognitive Sciences Laboratory, and public presentations of their work. The project also builds lasting capacity through teacher training, a co-created open-access educational guide, and a multilingual Digital Hub that extends its impact nationally and internationally.
