This research investigates how primary school teacher candidates perceive the integration of artificial intelligence (AI) technologies within inclusive education practices. Utilizing a qualitative methodology, in-depth interviews were conducted with a total of 15 candidates using a semi-structured interview form. Thematic analysis revealed that participants viewed AI as a means to support personalised learning, deliver immediate feedback, and enhance student motivation. Nonetheless, they also voiced significant concerns regarding data privacy, content reliability, unequal access, and ethical implications. Moreover, participants emphasised the lack of both pedagogical and technical training necessary for the effective implementation of AI in classroom settings. The findings underscore the need to revise teacher education programmes to promote the responsible and effective use of AI in inclusive educational environments. The findings underscore the need for a comprehensive and ethically grounded approach to promote fairness and responsible integration of AI technologies in educational settings.
