The aim of this project is to propose a new alternative to exploit thermotolerant cyanobacteria to produce high value-added products. More specifically, the project aims to apply suitable processes to optimise the production of biomolecules, in particular exopolysaccharides (EPS) from cyanobacteria, and to extract and purify them for use as nanoparticle matrices in order to promote the bio-cosmetics sector in Tunisia.
