Project Supported by Higher Education Institutions, BAP Research Project, 2025 - 2025
This study, titled "The Structure of Rize Male Hifz Quran Courses and Their Contributions to Social and Religious Life," aims to examine the structure, functioning, and impacts of male Hifz Quran courses in Rize on social and religious life. Within the scope of the project, Taşçıoğlu Quran Course in the city center, Pekmezli Village Quran Course affiliated with the center, and Kendirli Quran Course in Kendirli Town will be analyzed. Using qualitative research methods, data will be collected and analyzed through semi-structured interviews and field studies.
This study will reveal the contributions of Hifz education in Rize to social and religious life while also serving as a model for other Quran Courses performing similar functions at local and national levels, as well as providing recommendations for their future role. In line with our university's "Social Contribution" mission, the project also aims to raise awareness in this field at both local and national levels.
As the first study of its kind conducted in Rize, it will serve as a record of the services provided by the Provincial Mufti’s Office, create an inventory of this service category for the Rize Governorate and stakeholders, and highlight their unique aspects/methods as examples for stakeholders and the academic world.
