In
this part, 13 different Web 2.0 tools, which enable teachers to execute
assessment and evaluation activities at different stages of learning-teaching
process, were introduced under three categories. EdPuzzle, PlayPosit and TedEd aim to determine whether
students understood what they watched and help them make discussion related to
the things they learn by adding multiple choice, open ended, discussion
questions to the interactive videos. EdPuzzle and Playposit offers virtual
classrooms and more detailed reports. KaHoot, Socrative, Plickers, Quizlet,
BookWidgets use gamification elements and they are application that can be used
to identify students’ preknowledge and preparedness by creating a respective
and competitive race environment. KaHoot and Socrative generates detailed
reports using tables and graphs. Quizlet creates study sets, based on the
entered information, that give quick practice opportunity for students.
Rubistar, Google Form, GotoQuiz, PollEveryWhere, QuickKey help create tests,
quizes, and polls using different types of questions. PollEveryWhere differs
from the others because it asks for listeners’ opinion after a presentation and
determines their knowledge level which makes the process more interesting and
exciting. QuickKey allows you to evaluate students’ answer sheets just like an
optical reader. Rubistar on the other hand, gives the opportunity to create
rubrics for performance based activities.
