During the lecture of educational psychology it has long been observed that the primary expectation of some teacher candidates from the course was to get a high score at the public personnel selection examination (PPSE). When Form-2 was applied to the 40 volunteer teacher candidates in the classroom, it was understood that 15 teacher candidates expect primarily from the lecture of educational psychology "Being Successful in PPSE". As the researcher lectures in the class, he also realized that this expectation has negative effects on their motivation for the lecture. The researcher was disturbed by this situation and dedicate the present study to understanding this problem. Among the teacher candidates who stated his / her prior ambition is "Being Successful in PPSE", five volunteers (diary keepers) were included to the case study. The research then continued with these five participants. The applications lasted for six weeks. The diaries composed by the participants about the lectures studied, and the activities made during the lectures were collected at the end of every lecture and analysed with the content analysis method. At the end of the research, it was observed that the aims of all participants in the Lectures of Educational Psychology changed. Their priorities became "Having Good Teaching Knowledge and Skill".
