Özet:
This study, was conducted to determine the audiological, academic and other
outcomes of Auditory Brainstem Implant (ABI) user children between 0-17 years old.
In the study where systematic review method was used, 36 studies were included. The
tools which were frequently used in these studies to assess audiological, academic
and other developmental areas were determined and the outcomes were reviewed
basically. Accordingly, it was determined that CAP, ITMAIS/MAIS, MUSS and Ling
tests were the mostly used audiological assessment tools, that no assessment tools
were used in the educational or other areas (n:31) but only in some (n:5) studies there
are assessments and information related to these areas. Detailed statistical analyses
of the outcomes could not be made due to non-homogeneous data. Consequently, it
was seen that audiological outcomes were dominating in the majority of the studies but
education area and other areas were ignored.
