Abstract

OBJECTIVE To investigate the relevance of metabolic syndrome in the etiopathogenesis of overactive bladder in female patients. It has been shown that obesity has been associated with overactive bladder (OAB), and the metabolic syndrome and insulin resistance have been related to the annual growth rates of prostate and lower urinary tract symptoms.
