Özet

The COVID-19 pandemic has led to a significant decline in tourism activities due to international travel restrictions, quarantine measures, and health security concerns. Many businesses serving key tourism components, such as accommodation, transportation, and food and beverage services, have suffered substantial economic losses, leading to higher unemployment rates and income reductions. The downturn in the tourism sector has also negatively impacted macroeconomic growth, as reduced foreign currency inflows from tourism have contributed to current account deficits and widened existing imbalances in several countries. Decreased foreign exchange inflows have triggered exchange rate instability, which has further fueled cost-driven inflation in many regions. The profound impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the tourism sector has also brought about strategically significant changes within the industry. In this context, this study will examine postCOVID-19 restart strategies in tourism through a literature review, one of the qualitative research methods. Analyzing these restart strategies is essential for identifying how a transition to a sustainable and resilient tourism model can be achieved.
