The rise and fall of sea level, which is affected by various natural processes and human activities, has become one of the important problems that threaten every country. In this study, data on the sea level change around Rize in the Eastern Black Sea Region were obtained, and the relationship between precipitation data and sea level change was investigated. For this purpose, it is aimed to shed light on the infrastructure and settlement studies to be carried out in these regions by determining the sea level changes occurring on the Iyidere coastline with the help of tide gauge stations established on the sea coasts. According to the Iyidere tide gauge station data, a sea level rise of +21 cm was experienced in July and a sea level decrease of -20 cm in September. The change of about 41 cm was observed between July and September. According to meteorological data, this situation confirms the relationship between precipitation and level change, as the rainfall is higher in July and less in October.
