Abstract

A series of 5-nitrosubstituted benzimidazole and 6-nitro substituted benzimidazole derivatives were synthesized starting from iminoester hydrochloride and 4-nitro-o-phenylenediamine under microwave irradiation. The structure of newly synthesized compounds was confirmed by IR, H-1-NMR, C-13-NMR, LC-MS spectroscopy and elemental analysis.
