This study presents an analysis of the
interdisciplinary applications of Artificial Intelligence (AI) across the
domains of agriculture and food science. With increasing global pressure on
food systems due to climate change, population growth, and ecological
degradation, AI emerges as a pivotal enabler of resilience, productivity, and
sustainability. By synthesizing findings from state-of-the-art research, this
study explores how deep learning architectures, reinforcement learning models,
and hybrid AI frameworks are deployed in tasks ranging from real-time crop
monitoring and precision irrigation to post-harvest quality control and food
safety assurance. Emphasis is placed on the role of AI in food traceability
systems, predictive maintenance of Agri-machinery, and smart logistics networks
powered by IoT and edge computing. The paper critically evaluates how these
technologies converge under the paradigm of Agriculture and Food 6.0 to foster
circular economies, reduce environmental footprints, and empower smallholder
farmers through intelligent, data-driven decision support. Furthermore,
integrating climate resilience frameworks within AI protocols can offer
adaptive advantages against volatile environmental conditions.
