Özet
The influence of tensile loading on the structural, morphological, compositional, and electrical properties of Cu-stabilized REBCO coated conductors was investigated. Tape specimens were subjected to tensile forces of 0, 9, 12, 15, 30, and 45 N and subsequently characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDS), and current-voltage measurements. The XRD patterns were dominated by the reflections of the cubic Cu stabilizer layer and showed no detectable loadinduced phase transformation. However, the variations observed in crystallite size, dislocation density, and lattice strain indicated a non-linear structural response to tensile loading. SEM observations revealed relatively limited surface deterioration at lower tensile forces, whereas extensive crack formation and fragmentation of the surface layer became evident at 45 N. EDS analysis confirmed that the examined surface was predominantly composed of Cu, with minor C and O contributions. The electrical measurements showed a generally low-voltage response at lower current levels, followed by load-dependent voltage instabilities at higher currents. The most heavily loaded specimens exhibited a loss of stable electrical response, consistent with the pronounced surface damage observed by SEM. Overall, the results demonstrate that the response of Cu-stabilized REBCO coated conductors to tensile loading is non-linear and that high tensile forces can compromise both surface integrity and electrical stability. These findings emphasize the importance of controlling the mechanical loading conditions of REBCO coated conductors during handling and application.
