Özet

This paper explores the various methods of plant propagation, emphasizing their significance inmodern agriculture and horticulture. Plant propagation, both sexual and asexual, plays a vital role in themass production of plants, helping overcome challenges in cultivating difficult-to-propagate species.Asexual methods such as cuttings, grafting, and tissue culture provide efficient solutions for uniform cropproduction, disease resistance, and the preservation of specific plant varieties. Techniques like seed culture, meristem culture, and protoplast culture are explored for their potential in rapid multiplication, disease-freeproduction, and genetic improvement. Additionally, the use of plant propagation methods contributes toagricultural economics by enhancing productivity, reducing costs, and ensuring consistent supply. Thedevelopment of disease-resistant plants through these methods further supports sustainable farmingpractices. However, these methods demand high levels of precision and specialized skills, as successfulpropagation requires controlled conditions and careful handling of plant materials. The paper also highlightsthe importance of plant propagation in preserving endangered plant species and introducing new varietieswith desired traits. Overall, the study underscores the relevance of efficient propagation techniques inensuring food security, promoting biodiversity, and advancing agricultural practices. As such, mastery ofthese methods is essential for achieving sustainable plant production and meeting the growing demands ofglobal agriculture. Keywords –Plant Propagation Techniques, Asexual Plant Reproduction, Tissue Culture, Agricultural Sustainability, Disease-Resistant Crops (PDF) Modern Methods in Ornamental Plant Propagation: Improving Resistance and Sustainability.
