Özet

In recent years, there have been undesirable situations in urban areas due to climate change. Extreme temperatures and sudden rains from the possible effects of climate change affect the city and consume natural resources. Experiencing climate changes causes the quality of natural resources to deteriorate and depletion rapidly. Depending on these results, the deterioration in natural resources has created serious problems. Cities and urban green areas are the most affected by this situation. Urban areas have increased due to technological developments and so open green areas have decreased. Urban planners have started to consider new design approaches in order to reduce these negative effects. Most of the approaches detei ined are for planning vegetative design criteria used in open green spaces. It is a solution to implement practices that enable more efficient use of water in urban open green areas and designs where drought -resistant plant species are preferred. The determined plant species should consist of natural species specific to the region and the region, should be selected from groups that consume less water, and most importantly, should be aesthetic.
