This qualitative study is based on the evaluation of data from Focus Group Discussions (FGDs) conducted with the participation of a total of 31 young people applying to receive services provided at the three Ministry of Health, Youth Counseling Health Service Centers (YCHSC) in the province of Ankara, namely; Polatlý, Etlik and Oran YCHSCs. Young people who participated in the study are selected among volunteering 8th and 12th grade students attending three chosen elementary and high schools in close proximity to these YCHSC who filled out a survey. Informed Consent Forms were collected both from the young people participating in the study and from their parents of those who are under the age of 18. In this study the sexual and reproductive health related needs of the students, their expectations from these services as well as the barriers in achieving sustainable services were analyzed. The basic findings of the study shows the service usage rates vary by gender, family's socio-economic status, socio-cultural and religious factors and the capacity of the Service Center in advertising the services provided at these Centers. Another important finding of the study is that the adolescent service users applied to Service Centers not because of the adolescence related issues, but they applied to these Centers randomly in order to receive medical care and later found that the Center is specifically for adolescents.
