Osmanlı mimarlığının en olgun dönemlerinden biri olarak kabul edilen Mimar Sinan Dönemi, mimari mirasın toplumsal farkındalık ve bilinç oluşturmadaki rolünü anlamak açısından önemli bir inceleme alanı sunmaktadır. Bu çalışma, Mimar Sinan’ın eserlerinin ve Osmanlı mimarisinin değerinin tanıtılmasını, bu bilginin toplumun daha geniş kesimlerine aktarılmasını ve kültürel miras bilincinin geliştirilmesini amaçlamaktadır. Yöntem olarak, İstanbul’un tarihi bölgelerinde yer alan Mimar Sinan’a ait yapılar belirlenmiş ve mimarlık bölümü öğrencileri tarafından detaylı bir şekilde incelenmiştir. Bu süreçte, yapıların tarihsel ve mimari özelliklerini vurgulayan sunum ve tanıtım paftaları hazırlanmıştır. Çalışma, 3 ve 10 Aralık 2024 tarihlerinde RTEÜ Mimarlık Bölümü'nde düzenlenen “Mimar Sinan Rotaları Tasarım Atölyesi” ile devam etmiş; katılımcılar, seçtikleri yapıları içeren kültür rotalarını birlikte tasarlamış ve bu rotalar tek bir İstanbul haritası üzerinde birleştirilmiştir. Çalışma çıktıları arasında, Mimar Sinan’ın mimarlığının tanıtılması, katılımcıların araştırma ve sunum becerilerinin geliştirilmesi, iki günlük atölye ile sürecin farklı katılımcılarla zenginleştirilmesi ve kültür rotalarının poster ve broşür formatında sergilenmesi yer almaktadır. Elde edilen sonuçlar hem katılımcıların eğitimine katkı sağlamakta hem de toplumun farklı kesimlerinin tarihi yapılar hakkında bilgi edinmesine olanak tanımaktadır. Bu çalışma, Mimar Sinan’ın eserlerinin kültürel miras olarak sürdürülebilir bir koruma anlayışıyla ele alınmasını ve bu anlayışın toplumda bilinç oluşturmadaki önemini vurgulamaktadır.

The Mimar
Sinan Period in Ottoman history is distinguished by its architectural maturity
and represents a significant area of academic research. The role of
architectural heritage in shaping social awareness and consciousness is a
crucial aspect of this study. The aim of this study is firstly to introduce the
value of Mimar Sinan's works and Ottoman architecture, secondly to transfer
this knowledge to wider segments of society, and thirdly to develop cultural
heritage consciousness. A methodological approach was adopted in which Mimar
Sinan's buildings in the historical districts of Istanbul were identified and
examined in detail by architecture students. In this process, presentations and
presentation sheets were prepared, with particular focus on the historical and
architectural features of the buildings. The study proceeded with the
"Mimar Sinan Routes Design Workshop" held at RTEU Department of
Architecture on December 3 and 10, 2024. The participants designed cultural
routes, including the buildings they selected together, and these routes were
integrated into a single map of Istanbul.
The study's
findings encompass the introduction of Mimar Sinan's architectural concepts,
the enhancement of the participants' research and presentation skills, the
augmentation of the process through the involvement of diverse participants in
a two-day workshop, and the exhibition of cultural routes in poster and
brochure format. The results obtained from this study will contribute to the
education of the participants and allow different segments of society to learn
about historical buildings. This study proposes a methodology for the
sustainable conservation of Mimar Sinan's works, emphasizing the importance of
such an approach in raising awareness in society.
