The bone metaplasia in melanocytic nevi is not a common case. The majority of these lesions tend to be located in the upper part of the body, as in our case. There is a higher incidence of females. In the pathogenesis usually is thought to develop seconder damage of the hair follicles. We report a 46-year-old woman who presented a case of osseous metaplasia within a benign intradermal melanocytic nevus was excised from the face.
