Özet
In this study, a novel phthalonitrile derivative functionalized with a cyclohexyl-triazole unit was synthesized as a precursor. The structural characterization of the ligand was performed using FT-IR, 1H NMR, and 13C NMR, ESI-MS spectroscopy. Subsequently, novel cobalt(II) and manganese(III) phthalocyanine complexes were prepared through a rapid and efficient microwave-assisted synthesis method. The transformation of the phthalonitrile into the phthalocyanine macrocycle was confirmed by FT-IR, UV–Vis spectroscopy supported by MALDI-TOF mass analysis. Electrochemical characterization of compounds was performed to identify redox properties and electron transfer mechanism in DCM/TBAP electrolyte. CoPc complex exhibited one metal based and two Pc-based reduction reactions while MnClPc displayed two metal-based reduction and two Pc-based reduction reactions. In-situ spectroelectrochemical measurements were carried out to support voltametric response and to observe formed species. In addition, color transition was recorded by chromaticity measurement based on the formed species during the reduction-oxidation process. As a result of the measurements, CoPc exhibited sharp color transition, which is a crucial feature for applications in smart glass technologies.
