Taksonomik
çeşitlilik yaz döneminde en yüksek düzeye ulaşmış (S = 31); Shannon-Wiener
indeksi Kasım'daki 0,975'ten Ağustos'ta 1,972'ye yükselirken Simpson baskınlık
indeksi eş zamanlı olarak düşmüştür (0,628'den 0,228'e). Derinlik gradyanı
analizinde 30 m katmanı toplam bollukta (2.066 birey) öne çıkarken, 50 m'de
belirgin bir tükeniş gözlemlenmiştir. Kruskal-Wallis testi mevsimler arası tür
dağılımı farklılığını sınır düzeyde anlamlı bulmuştur (H = 7.641; p = 0.054).
Sonuçlar, Batı Karadeniz makrozoobenthosunun belirgin mevsimsel örüntüler
sergilediğini ve istilacı türlerin topluluk dinamiği üzerindeki etkisinin
giderek arttığını ortaya koymaktadır.
In this study, seasonal
changes in the abundance and biomass of macrozoobenthic communities were
investigated using beam trawl sampling conducted along the western Black Sea
coast (Sinop–Kastamonu–Bartın–Zonguldak–Kocaeli–Istanbul–Kırklareli) between
November 2017 and August 2018. The study, conducted at 28 stations across seven
transects and four depth layers (10, 20, 30, and 50 m), identified 38
macrozoobenthic taxa. The highest abundance (2.887 individuals) and biomass (34.427.9
g) were recorded in August 2018, while the lowest values were observed in the
spring. Liocarcinus depurator (Linnaeus, 1758) maintained its dominant
status across all four seasons, with its share of the total catch ranging from
40.4% (August) to 78.8% (November). The invasive gastropod Rapana venosa
(Valenciennes, 1846) played a decisive role in the August 2018 biomass peak (26.030.1
g). Taxonomic diversity reached its highest level during the summer (S = 31);
while the Shannon-Wiener index rose from 0.975 in November to 1.972 in August,
the Simpson dominance index decreased concurrently (from 0.628 to 0.228). In
the depth gradient analysis, the 30 m layer stood out for total abundance (2.066
samples), while a marked decline was observed at 50 m. The Kruskal-Wallis test
found the difference in species distribution between seasons to be marginally
significant (H = 7.641; p = 0.054). The results indicate that the
macrozoobenthos of the Western Black Sea exhibits distinct seasonal patterns
and that the impact of invasive species on community dynamics is gradually
increasing
