Neuroblastoma is a malignant tumor originating from the neural crest. Patients are usually younger than 4 years of age. 46% of the cases are derived from the surrenal glands. But the tumor can be detected anywhere from the neck to the sacrum, wherever the sympathetic chain exists. 14% of the neuroblastomas originate within the thoracal region.
