Abstract

Background: Production of extended-spectrum beta-lactamase (ESBL) is one of the antibiotic resistance strategies in the bacteria. Extended spectrum beta-lactamase producing Escherichia coli (E. coli) infections alarmingly increased in recent years in Turkey.
