Morphing wings are one of the technologies that has attracted considerable interest for its potential to improve aerodynamic performance. Traditionally, aircraft wings are designed with fixed geometries optimized for specific flight conditions. The inability to change with respect to aerodynamic performance is one of the major disadvantages, which makes it difficult to improve performance over a wide range of operating conditions. The ability to change with respect to aerodynamic performance is one of the advantages of morphing wings, which makes it an attractive solution for improving performance over a wide range of operating conditions. In this study, morphing wing technologies are discussed based on various configuration types. This study describes morphing wing technologies based on various configuration types. To provide an overview of morphing wings, the following sections review recent studies to summarize the latest developments in this technology. Recent studies have highlighted the advantages of morphing wing technology, particularly in adapting to changing flow conditions, delaying flow separation, and improving the lift-to-drag ratio. Therefore, it can be stated here that morphing wing technology will gain significant importance in the near future.
