The amount of
tea waste is increasing rapidly with the increasing consumption of tea and its
extracts, which greatly increases environmental stress. The use of tea wastes
in an important field such as the construction sector minimizes the negative
impacts on the environment and human health. In this study, the aim is to
analyze the academic studies on the use of tea waste, one of the organic
wastes, in construction sector. The studies conducted in line with this aim have
been evaluated in detail. As a result of the study, it has been understood that
it has a negative impact on mechanical characteristics in concrete production,
increases pore formation in brick production and reduces workability in mortar
production. It also provided an effective solution for waste disposal.
