In this work, we present a novel design for the feeding structure for the splash-plate reflector antenna to be used in VSAT communications. The new design has a conical transition between the waveguide and the dielectric lens and has a reverse-stair type circular sub-reflector construct. The new structure is optimized using CST microwave studio software and the final configuration is obtained. The simulations of the resultant antenna parameters demonstrate the success of the design which can be used in Ka-Band VSAT applications.
