Abstract

Shairnamahs is known as-though not as much as collection of biographies of poets found in classical Turkish literature-texts contributing to our literature in the field of biography in terms of making mention of names of the poets together with their certain features. Though viewed among Folk Literature crops so to speak, Divan poets also exemplified of this kind leastwise. In fact, it has been determined that the first example of this kind was given by the classical Turkish literature poet Isreti (DOD.1566/67). Another Divan poets Garami (DOD.1586[?] and Ayni (DOD.1839) also had this kind of poems.
