Patella is a sea snail consumed as a human food in a lot of region of the world. The aim of this study is to find out some In this biological research, characteristics of this species which hasn't been studied directly at all in our country. the biometric measures, meat yield content, lenght-weight relationship and seasonal distribution of the sea snail Patella caerulea L.1758 were studied. the lenght During distribution the summer varied and spring months,the individual number and meat yield content were the greatest and between 11 mm and 65 mm. The lenght-weight relationship was calculated as W=0,00021 2,8606 and r=0,90.
