Özet

Yûsuf u Züleyhâ mesnevisi, klasik Türk edebiyatının aşk mesnevileri arasında yer almasının yanı sıra hikâyenin menşei ve barındırdığı unsurlar itibarıyla önemli bir yere sahiptir. Yûsuf, Züleyhâ ve Yakûb ekseninde gerçekleşen olayların neticesinde bir aşk hikâyesine dönüşmesi ile ortaya konulan mesnevide, bu üçlüyü etkileyen olaylar birbiriyle bağlantılı olarak işlenmektedir. Olayların seyri ve hikâyede yer alan karakterlerin özellikleri, kurguyu büyük ölçüde etkilemektedir. Seçilen her karakter, kurgu içinde mekân, zaman ve şahıs unsurlarını desteklemektedir. İlk yazılı eserlerden itibaren hayvanların insanlarla olan ilişkileri ve doğal yaşam içinde birbirleriyle olan münasebetleri edebiyatın içinde yer almıştır. Yûsuf u Züleyhâ mesnevisinde de hayvanların etkin şekilde kullanıldığı ve kurguya uygun olarak hikâyeye dâhil edildiği görülmektedir. Bu çalışmada, hikâyenin işleyişine dikkate değer ölçüde etki ettiği düşünülen insan-hayvan ünsiyetleri üzerinde durulmuştur. Hikâyede yer alan hayvanların yalnızca arka plan unsuru olarak değil belirli sembolik ve işlevsel anlamlar taşıyan unsurlar olarak kullanıldığı görülmektedir. Kurt, balık ve deve kişileştirilmiş varlıklar olarak karşımıza çıkmakta ve anlatıya katkıda bulunmaktadır. Söz konusu hayvanların seçimi hem anlatının gelişimi hem de temsil ettikleri anlamlar bakımından dikkat çekicidir. Bu nedenle çalışmada; kurt, balık ve devenin anlatı içindeki rolleri, hangi bağlamlarda ortaya çıktıkları ve hikâyenin kurgusuna ne tür katkılar sundukları üzerinde durulmuş. Ayrıca bu hayvanların seçilme sebepleri ve metin içindeki işlevleri açıklanmaya çalışılmıştır. Böylece mesnevide yer alan hayvan unsurlarının yalnızca dekoratif bir unsur olmadığı, aksine anlatının anlam ve yapı bütünlüğü içinde belirli işlevler üstlendiği ortaya konulmaya çalışılmıştır.
The Yûsuf u Züleyhâ masnavi holds an important place not only among the love masnavis of classical Turkish literature but also in terms of the origin of the story and the elements it contains. In the masnavi, which emerges as a love story as a result of the events that take place around Yûsuf, Züleyhâ and Yâkub the incidents affecting this trio are presented in an interconnected manner. The course of events and the characteristics of the characters in the narrative greatly influence the structure of the plot. Each selected character supports the elements of setting, time, and character within the narrative structure. Since the earliest written works, the relationships between animals and humans, as well as their interactions with one another within the natural world, have found a place in literature. Similarly, in the Yûsuf u Züleyhâ masnavi, animals are actively employed and incorporated into the story in accordance with the narrative structure. In this study, human-animal affinities that are considered to have a notable influence on the progression of the story are examined. It is observed that the animals in story are used not merely as background elements but as components carriying certain symbolic and functional meanings. The wolf, the fish and the camel appear as personified beings and contribute to the narrative. The selection of these animals is noteworthy both in terms of the development of the narrative and the meanings they represent. For this reason, the study focuses on the roles of the wolf, the fish and the camel within thenarrative, the contexts in Which they appear, and the contributions they make to the structure of the story. In addition, the reasons for the selection of these animals and their functions within the text are explained. Thus, it is attempted to demonstrate that the animal elements in the masnavi are not merely decorative components but rather elements that perform certain fuctions within the semantic and structural unity of the narrative.
