amaç: Bu olgu sunumunun amacı, bilateral maksiller lateral diş agenesisi bulunan genç erişkin bir hastada, ortodontik tedavi ile oluşturulan boşluklara, maksimum doku korunumunu hedefleyen minimal invaziv bir protetik yaklaşım ile uygulanan zirkonyum destekli Maryland köprü restorasyonunun estetik ve fonksiyonel sonuçlarını sunmaktır.
olgu sunumu: 20 yaşındaki sistemik hastalığı olmayan erkek hasta, estetik nedenlerle fakültemize başvurmuştur. Yapılan klinik ve radyografik değerlendirmede bilateral maksiller lateral diş agenesisi saptanmıştır. Hastanın ortodontik tedavisi 18 yaşında başlatılmış, tedavi sürecinde eksik diş boşlukları korunarak ileride yapılacak protetik restorasyonlar için uygun alan oluşturulmuştur. Ortodontik tedavi 20 yaşında tamamlanmış ve ardından protetik planlamaya geçilmiştir. Estetik beklentiler ve invaziv yaklaşımın minimumda tutulması amacıyla, santral ve kanin dişlerin palatinal yüzeylerine sınırlı preparasyon uygulanmıştır. Dijital ölçü alınmasını takiben, eksik dişler, zirkonyum destekli Maryland adeziv köprü ile restore edilmiştir.
sonuç: Çift taraflı lateral diş eksikliği olgularında, ortodontik tedaviyle eksik dişler için uygun boşlukların sağlanmasının ardından uygulanan zirkonyum destekli Maryland köprüler; doku koruyucu, minimal invaziv ve estetik bir protetik alternatif sunmaktadır. Uzun dönem takiplerde hasta, restorasyondan hem estetik hem de fonksiyonel açıdan memnuniyet bildirmiştir.
amaç: The aim of this case presentation is to describe the aesthetic and functional rehabilitation of a young adult patient with bilateral maxillary lateral incisor agenesis using a zirconia-based Maryland bridge, applied with a minimally invasive prosthetic approach prioritizing maximum tissue preservation following orthodontic space preparation.
olgu sunumu: A 20-year-old male patient with no systemic diseases sought treatment at our faculty with aesthetic concerns. Clinical and radiographic examinations confirmed the presence of bilateral maxillary lateral incisor agenesis. Orthodontic treatment was initiated at the age of 18, during which the edentulous spaces were carefully preserved to enable optimal conditions for future prosthetic rehabilitation. Upon completion of orthodontic therapy at the age of 20, prosthetic planning was initiated. In line with the patient’s aesthetic expectations and the principle of minimal invasiveness, limited palatal preparations were performed on the adjacent central and canine teeth. Following digital impression procedures, the missing lateral incisors were restored using a zirconia-based Maryland adhesive fixed partial denture.
sonuç: In cases of bilateral lateral incisor agenesis, zirconia-based Maryland bridges applied following orthodontic treatment to provide appropriate spacing for prosthetic rehabilitation offer a tissue-preserving, minimally invasive, and aesthetic prosthetic alternative. Long-term follow-up revealed that the patient reported satisfaction with the restoration in terms of both aesthetics and function.
