Abstract

Although not commonly seen, infective endocarditis (IE) is an important disease because of high mortality/morbidity rates. IE commonly needs surgical intervention. Erithrodermia is a dermatalogical emergency, which might cause mortality especially in elderly due to metabolic complications. In this article we report an acute infective endocarditis case which was accompanied by severe erithrodermia and medically treated without need of surgical intervention.
