Abstract

This study covers two studies employing winter sports 3D virtual environment developed within the scope of project in Second Life platform. Accordingly, first study examined the relationship between presence and recalling knowledge while the letter dwelt on engagement and recalling knowledge. At the end of the first study, it was seen that there was a weak significant relationship between recalling knowledge and students’ teaching and cognitive presences while no relationship was detected in terms of social presence. At the end of the second study, it was seen that affective and cognitive engagement was related to recalling knowledge while affective engagement was not.
