Özet

This study examines academic publications addressing post-disaster housing between 2000 and May 2025 using bibliometric methods. A total of 1,767 publications were evaluated as a result of systematic searches conducted in the Web of Science database. VOSviewer software was used for data analysis. The findings reveal a significant increase in the number of publications since 2017 and a notable rise in citation counts in 2018. The International Journal of Disaster Risk Reduction was identified as the journal with the highest number of citations, while most publications were produced within the field of engineering. The United States was found to be the country with the highest number of publications. The most frequently used keyword was “temporary housing,” and Tohoku University was identified as the institution with the highest number of publications. Most of the publications were in English, while Turkish publications ranked third in frequency. Despite the increase in academic interest in the field over the past five years, the relatively low number of publications from Türkiye is considered to result from limited interdisciplinary research networks and insufficient national funding in the field of post-disaster housing. To overcome this situation, it is important to promote international collaborations and encourage local researchers to engage more actively in this area.
