I was born in 1968 in Rize/Cayeli/Armutlu Village. I completed primary (1979) and secondary school (1983) in the same place and high school education in Beylerbeyi High School (Istanbul-1986). I graduated from Marmara University Faculty of Theology in 1991.
In 1993, I completed my master's degree in the Department of Theology at the same University and my doctorate in 2000.
In 1995, I was appointed as a research assistant to KTU Rize Faculty of Theology, Department of History of Islamic Sects.
In January 2001, I was appointed as an Assistant Professor in the same department.
Between 2004 - 2005, I served as Assistant Dean.
Between 2007 - 2010, I was the director of Rize University Ardesen Vocational School.
2011 - 2013 I served as the Rector Consultant Responsible for Information Processing.
In 2012, I became an associate professor.
2012 - 2015 I worked as vice dean.
In 2016, I was appointed as the director of Recep Tayyip Erdoğan University Institute of Social Sciences.
In 2017, I became a professor.
In 2018-2022, I served as the Vice Rector of Recep Tayyip Erdoğan University.
In 2024, I was appointed as the dean of the Faculty of Theology.
