INNOVATIVE MATERIALS MECHANICS

The Innovative Materials Mechanics (IMMech) research group is an interdisciplinary team dedicated to understanding the complex mechanical behaviors of metallic and non-metallic materials.

Our studies aim to elucidate how materials respond under various conditions such as fatigue, corrosion, temperature, loading rate, and manufacturing processes. Our motivation is to develop safer, more durable, and more functional materials for both engineering and biomedical applications.

Our research areas include corrosion–fatigue behavior, functional coatings, additive manufacturing, biodegradable metals, micro-scale mechanical testing, advanced microstructural characterization (SEM, EBSD, XRD), and non-destructive evaluation techniques (Click for details).

Collaboration and Research Network

Active collaborations are maintained with national and international institutions.

Open to Collaboration

All forms of academic and industrial collaboration—ranging from new research projects and joint publications to MSc/PhD thesis supervision and partnerships within TÜBİTAK–Horizon Europe frameworks—are gladly considered.
